PARENT AND STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Students should have an 88 key piano or digital keyboard with weighted action. Also, an adjustable piano bench or bench pad and footstool if needed.
Students should have a quiet place to practice with no distractions and a set time to practice each day
Students are expected to complete their weekly lesson plan, get to lessons on time, and make sure they have all of their materials.
ATTENDANCE AND MAKEUP POLICY
Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled lessons and studio recitals.
Lessons begin promptly at the scheduled time and will end on time.
If the student needs to reschedule a lesson, please give me 24 hours notice. The student can reschedule missed lessons within 30 days.
If the student fails to arrive for a scheduled lesson, the lesson will not be rescheduled and the student will be charged in full.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Recommended minimum weekly practice (Levels are based on Certificate of Merit levels)
Preparatory: 15 minutes, 5-6 days/week
Levels 1-2: 20 minutes 5-6 days/week
Levels 3-5: 35 minutes 5-6 days/week
Levels 6-7: 45 minutes 5-6 days/week
Levels 8-9: 1 hour 5-6 days/week
Advanced level: 1 1/4 hours 5-6 days/week
